We are thrilled with the number of children, and adults, that we've been able to help with our Baker's Dozen Program. And now you can help too by donating a Cozy Cookie to a charity on the Baker's Dozen list!

If you know of an organization that is dedicated to helping children in difficult circumstances and would like to submit their name for consideration as a Baker's Dozen recipient, please fill out the Charity Consideration Form.

"Cookie Exchange" Jane Wright (second from left) and Mollie Edson (second from right) of the Warm & Cozy Co. kick-off the "Baker's Dozen Program". The women pledged that for every 12 Cozy Cookies that they sell, they will donate the 13th to organizations that provide for children in difficult circumstances, places such as hospitals, homeless shelters, and foster homes.

Accepting the first round of donations are (from left) Greg Zempel, Kittitas County Prosecutor (on behalf of the Child Sexual Assault Intervention Program and Court Advocates for Children), Cheryl Cathcart on behalf of ASPEN (programs that support victims of domestic violence and sexual assault), and Officer J.P. Weed of the Ellensburg Police Department (for use at the station and in patrol cars)

The women said that sales have been great and the community is very supportive of Cozy Cookie....enabling them to begin fulfilling their dream of donating to children.

"Thank you for donating the Cozy Cookies through your Baker's Dozen Program to our shelter/safe house for women and children. It really is so great for the kids to have something comforting of their very own to hold onto. Often they arrive with nothing but the clothes they are wearing; it makes them feel special to have something new that belongs to them when they are in unfamiliar surroundings and in a stressful situation." Cheryl Cathcart, Director of ASPEN, Domestic Violence Program, Ellensburg, WA.
